NEW ALBUM BATTLE FIELD RELEASE ON MAY 19th !!

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m  a bass guitar player Juna Serita ! maybe long time no see?

 

 

I was working on my very first instrumental album from last year little by little.

 

 

 

And ……..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finally………..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I got all 10 songs on my hand !!! (includes intro)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well , some of the songs are still on the mix , but you know , I am so happy because now I feel more reality that I am going to release my instrumental album !! And I will release the album on May 19th on iTunes, Apple music , Google play music , Spotify ,,,, everything !!

 

 

And it was really … long process . I was actually so stressed out by that.

 

I definitely enjoy song writing , I definitely enjoy playing the bass guitar , or other instrumental sometimes , I also always enjoy to decide who I wanna have on the song etc

 

 

 

BUT there were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many things which didn’t go smooth as I expected .

And it took both of my time / money more than the original plan  ; (

 

 

 

I mean , it’s fine and maybe it was  needed to do so.

In fact , now , it’s almost done ! and the songs are done nicely more than I expected as well !!!!

 

some of the songs are already uploaded on my youtube channel such as KUNOICHI, SPARK, Tap Da Bass.

 

 

 

 

 

But also I uploaded ALL of the 10 songs on my Patreon page .

Today I  went to see a show to the bar called Groove !

It was packed whole time ! my Japanese friend told me I would love here . Yes I loved here ! especially the third band was great ! Funk / soul / rnb / hip hop …. The drummer was dope .  I wanna come see his play again before I leave .

 

After the show I headed to Fat Cat again . lol

I joined jam session .

The reason I came here again is , they all jam only jazz . So it’s not normal for me . Also  makes me feel like I’m pretty beginner.. that’s why I came  here again

TRUE COLOR JAZZ FESTIVAL @Meguro BLUES ALLAY

 

 

 

Hey guys !! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita !!

 

Today I had a performance for an unique jazz festival .

This event concept is Wizard meets world artist .

 

So actually bass player was gonna come from overseas for this show , but visa problem happened and I got offered for replace of him .

Ayu Kang Hokkaido Tour day 5

Today is Ayu Kang Hokkaido tour final day !!!

We had a dinner show in Monbetsu.

The live information appeared on the newspaper ! In fact , the ticket got sold out!! Appreciate for their support .

I think our performance gets better every single day .

We all think today’s performance was best among the tour .

I’m happy that finally I  memorized all of Ayu Kang ‘s song .

The moment should be our start line, and I’ m so excited with playing  as Ayu Kang Trio more often ; )!

Funky Jazz night @ Hiyoshi Wonder Wall

 

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

 

Today I had a funky jazz live at Hiyoshi Wonder Wall!

It was my first  time to Dennis and Erisa! Thanks for having me .

We each brought some songs we want to play .  I and Emi brought some session standard songs and Dennis and Erisa brought their original songs too ; )

(Actually I was gonna bring my instrumental original songs too but I thought the melody should be too complicated to play for the first time ; ( )

Erisa plays the beat box and the sax at a time!!!  I don’t know whether  it’s common among flute players  or not but at least I had never seen like that person in my life .  Wow !! She is bad ass !!!

And It’s been a while since I’ve played with Emi !!  When we started play some songs , I realized how much I was missing it .

My favorite percussionist Winter came down as audience and he sat in at the 2nd stage !! Yey ; )

TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI @Haretara Sorani Mame maite

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m  a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

Today I had a show of TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI at Haretara sorani mame maite.

 

At the 1st set ,We showed up with the costume that we were wearing on the music video .

Actually I do love this video !! Isn’t it amazing ?! ; )

We performed variety of songs with guest musicians !

And the second set ,the stylist gave us new costume .

I think you can’t see what kind of cloth I’m wearing on this pic, but I’m wearing long pants : )

This show went truly great because of this awesome guest musicians !!

Tokyo Brass Style @Horonobe day 2

Tokyo Brass Style concert in Horonobe, Hokkaido Day 2  !

Yesterday the 1st set was big band style (sit on a chair and use music charts ), but today’s both 1st and 2nd set are Tokyo Brass Style’s style ; )!!

Tokyo Brass Style after school project@ Horonobe junior high school

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

I’m in Hokkaido now !! Tokyo Brass Style Hokkaido tour began today .

Our boss took us to a ramen restaurant for lunch : D

Tonkotsu soy source soup  : ) yum yum !!!

 

 

So we visited Horonobe Junor  High School for After School Project .  

“Tokyo Brass Style After School Project ” is….

The project is , When there is a school (Normaly high school or junior high school ) which wants us to visit , we come there and teach the students how to play the songs well , how to enjoy the songs .  And later  , we will perform together as one group . These are packaged : )

 

So first , in front of the students we performed only two songs as demonstration : )  And then we practiced together .

Tomorrow and day after tomorrow , we’re gonna have shows . So the students are gonna be on the stage with Tokyo Brass Style day after tomorrow ; ) Only two songs ; ) 

I’m so excited about it ♪

Tokyo Brass Style @ Yunicho,Hokkaido

 

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today I am in Hokkaido with the all female big band called Tokyo Brass Style  for solo concert  .

Actually I’d never come to Hokkaido .  There are lots of nature, surely nice place !!

Recently there was a big earthquake around here … I feel really sorry about that.  I always wonder why Japan has earthquakes so often especially nowadays … ; (

I was so happy when  I saw all audience enjoy the show on the stage.

Hopefully we encouraged people .

Frankly speaking, in the band, we’re never allowed to use music charts so I was a little afraid whether I can memorize all songs or not because I ended up to join the band very recently . (I was going to start working with them from October )

I stay in Hokkaido for a while . I’m excited with the rest of tour !

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today’s lunch : )

I do love having meal in Yayoi-Ken . Tastes like home cooking of someone’s mom.

 

I had a recording all day with jazz fusion piano trio  band Lab.

I brought two bass guitars in the case… 4 strings Fender jazz bass and 5 strings Warwick .

This is the sound engineer Hashimoto-san !! I named him “Hasshi “. Cute nickname ,isn’t it : D ?

The sound became awesome by his great mixing ! Feels like I got great chops  ; )!lol

We recorded 4 songs.  Most likely we’ll record two more songs.

The keyboard player Kodai Taniguchi got the date.  I can’t to wait to listen to it …!!
