NEW ALBUM BATTLE FIELD RELEASE ON MAY 19th !!

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m  a bass guitar player Juna Serita ! maybe long time no see?

 

 

I was working on my very first instrumental album from last year little by little.

 

 

 

And ……..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finally………..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I got all 10 songs on my hand !!! (includes intro)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well , some of the songs are still on the mix , but you know , I am so happy because now I feel more reality that I am going to release my instrumental album !! And I will release the album on May 19th on iTunes, Apple music , Google play music , Spotify ,,,, everything !!

 

 

And it was really … long process . I was actually so stressed out by that.

 

I definitely enjoy song writing , I definitely enjoy playing the bass guitar , or other instrumental sometimes , I also always enjoy to decide who I wanna have on the song etc

 

 

 

BUT there were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many things which didn’t go smooth as I expected .

And it took both of my time / money more than the original plan  ; (

 

 

 

I mean , it’s fine and maybe it was  needed to do so.

In fact , now , it’s almost done ! and the songs are done nicely more than I expected as well !!!!

 

some of the songs are already uploaded on my youtube channel such as KUNOICHI, SPARK, Tap Da Bass.

 

 

 

 

 

But also I uploaded ALL of the 10 songs on my Patreon page .

JUNA’s BASStream #3 ~Funk Train !!~

This is the greatest live show (video) I’ve ever seen !! I fall in love at first sight !!

Not only funkiest music , but also really entertaining . The goal I wanna have is kind of like this show.

 

Anyway , this term , nobody can have shows …; (

So  I just get my chops up meanwhile.

 

I’m thinking about next live streaming theme and title !  Always makes me excited to think about this project .

Actually today ,  well, since yesterday I was practicing whole time . My brain is totally sleeping , my arms are hurts now ..

Today I went to a bar called Woody’s  to join a jam session !

I was kinda late , so I expected like I might be able to sit in only one or two songs . but I think I ended up to play over 4 or 5 ! lol

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!!

Today I had a shooting at KPFK in Los Angeles with this sweet member !

Producer / interviewer Gary Baca,  Film Luis R. Quintero 

We talked about music , my album The Princess of funk , my funk back ground , etc ..

I feel sorry about my poor English and weird accent ; ( but I really appreciate for their sweetness !! Thanks a lot !!

America tour day 11 ~LA~

 

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

Today I went to see a funk show relative Nth power and GHOST NOTE etc !!

I could see from this position !  It was my first time to see Nikki ‘s drums . So I was really curious .

And the Nth Power’s bass guitar player called Nate Edgar , actually we met in Tokyo , Japan when he came for Fuji Rock.

Our common friend invited me to have BASSIST MEETING .lol  Just me and our friend and Nate.

But we only had lunch together , and we didn’t play . So to be honest I didn’t know his play style (sorry my bad..)

but I’m totally blown away!!!!!!!! From his performance  , feels like I learned something really important for funk music ..

He actually play simple phrase (don’t get it wrong . simple doesn’t mean “easy ” ),and played only short solo too.  Now what I can say is his bass was totally Popping !!!!!!! I love it I ‘m totally admired .

 

I do loved the guitarist too ! love his cutting too

 

That was a great night . maybe it was the best show I’ve ever seen. ♪

Juna Serita Birthday show @ Sangenchaya Grapefruitmoon

 

 

Hey guys! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!! 

 

 

Today I had my birthday show at Sangenchaya  Graoefruitmoon !

  I did my birthday event last year too but this year feels like more special ..! 

First , I’m gonna go to US soon for one and half month after this show  ( actually day after tomorrow I’m  leaving ).

Second ,I’ve been playing with this member for a while from my EP “ The Princess of Funk” recording (my buddies ! ) . 

Third , this show is shot in video (Just wanted to have some videos ).

So I was kinda nervous but more excited !!

Oh Juna Serita’s next show is already fixed !!  Next one is March 30 !! It’s Monday , sorry but I hope you guys willl be able to  make it !!  While traveling in the US , I’ll have  enough free time probably . Meanwhile  I will write several new songs surely for my next show  !!

Today we had a show at Futagotamagawa GEMINI Theater !

With this member we haven’t perform her, this it the first time.

The drummer Numata-san and the trumpeter Shiori organized the event. Thanks for having me.

We mostly played old funk songs such as EW&F.

Always fun to play with real horn section !

And the vocalist Andrew sounds really nice !

Funky Jazz night @ Hiyoshi Wonder Wall

Today I had a funky jazz live at Hiyoshi Wonder Wall!

It was my first  time to Dennis and Erisa! Thanks for having me .

We each brought some songs we want to play .  I and Emi brought some session standard songs and Dennis and Erisa brought their original songs too ; )

(Actually I was gonna bring my instrumental original songs too but I thought the melody should be too complicated to play for the first time ; ( )

Erisa plays the beat box and the sax at a time!!!  I don’t know whether  it’s common among flute players  or not but at least I had never seen like that person in my life .  Wow !! She is bad ass !!!

And It’s been a while since I’ve played with Emi !!  When we started play some songs , I realized how much I was missing it .

My favorite percussionist Winter came down as audience and he sat in at the 2nd stage !! Yey ; )

Shoka Okubo @ Bom ! in Fukushima

 

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m  a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

Today I came to Fukushima with Shoka Okubo band.

We performa at the event called Bom!

There are some people who came from Tokyo to see us . I know it was far but really appreciate for your sweetness and support .

 

It’s been a while I play with Shoka. Each single time I realize how special she is for me . I do love her style and always respect .

 

I brought 5 strings today ; ) I gotta get used to it .

 

We all thought it was really fun to play with this member , so now we are kinda planning to have kinda big concert with this member in winter ; ) !! Wait for the details and don’t miss it !!

TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI @Haretara Sorani Mame maite

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m  a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

Today I had a show of TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI at Haretara sorani mame maite.

 

At the 1st set ,We showed up with the costume that we were wearing on the music video .

Actually I do love this video !! Isn’t it amazing ?! ; )

We performed variety of songs with guest musicians !

And the second set ,the stylist gave us new costume .

I think you can’t see what kind of cloth I’m wearing on this pic, but I’m wearing long pants : )

This show went truly great because of this awesome guest musicians !!
