To be honest , the first impression of NY wasn’t so good . but now I totally fell in love with here.

This is the vocalist Antwon a.k.a. Black Soul Boy ! I met him yesterday and he invited me to come today’s jam !
It’s actually such a nice venue and the point is kinda close to my home in Brooklyn !
I joined two songs jam . one was chicken , another is what is hip ?

I talked to the bass guitar player after the show but I knew he came to Japan quit recently for J-pop artist show who lives in NY.
His play was incredible !! also loved his sound !

We met at Sugar Bar a few days ago . It was really fun jam. He plays the bass guitar too. So we switched our parts too lol
He has a lot of vocabulary musically . I ‘m so impressed .

Today Rock Sutra by Dash Radio was on air ! I and the host Tony talked a lot about music !!
I haven’t checked yet because I was already out, so please let me know how it was ; )!
Today I went to Red Rooster to see performance .
sound engineer Carter and percussionist Gary !!
The band sounds really great !! And also the food of the bar was really nice !
And then I moved to 55 bars for another event !
I wanted to see my favorite bass guitar player Moto Fukushima !
Actually I took his bass lesson twice when he came back to Japan. The music was really beautiful . Only 3 member , but exactly good enough !!!
And then, I moved to Fat Cat . I was pretty sleepy tho…lol
I came here NY , so at least I need to try jazz a lot even I ‘m not good at it .

Today I went to see a show to the bar called Groove !
It was packed whole time ! my Japanese friend told me I would love here . Yes I loved here ! especially the third band was great ! Funk / soul / rnb / hip hop …. The drummer was dope . I wanna come see his play again before I leave .
After the show I headed to Fat Cat again . lol
I joined jam session .
The reason I came here again is , they all jam only jazz . So it’s not normal for me . Also makes me feel like I’m pretty beginner.. that’s why I came here again

First the host band played several songs , and then it went a jam session.
There were female drummer and female pianist ! So the jam was like all female band show! lol

Today I went to jam session at Sugar Bar in NY city !
Seems like it’s kinda legendary bar because in fact the guy who is a model and sat next to me told me that he’s heard this bar is great and he gotta go according to his friend in Hawaii .
I was kinda on a fence where to go today but I’m proud of my decision !!
There are many fantastic vocalists !! So I actually wanted to play only the bass guitar , not sing, but the song I suggested to jam was nobody knows .lol
So I ended up to choose Boogie Oogie Oogie by The taste of honey !
with some extra bass solo! lol
