Today I cooked dinner for the first time in a while . I usually eat out .

I had lived by myself for 4 years but I felt lonely to eat dinner alone at home . No prob tho ..
I hope my grandma will get better soon and come back home . ( she is hospitalized now..)

Today I have one thing that I wanna get the word out !!
That is about Juna Serita Band !!!
I created a flier for our first gig !! So cool , isn’t it ?? I might have a sense 😍
Well , I wanna introduce about the member !!
First , the drummer Kenny Mosley !!
I met him for the first time when I was 19 years old . A guitar teacher in university invited me to play together at the gig , then the drummer was him !
Actually I couldn’t understand English at all and Kenny don’t understand Japanese ( I doubt him tho.. lol ) . So we just talked only a little before playing together like Hello, nice to meet you , that’s all .
However when the performance started , I got shocked !! He is the kick-ass drummer !! Since then, I’ve thought I wanna play with him more and more !!
Next , about the guitar player Ryan Carter!
We actually got to know each other very recently . He can handle all genre , not only the guitar , but also other instruments like bass, drums , keyboard , etc…! Especially he is great at bass guitar , I got so jealous when I heard it lol.
When I had sessions with him , I felt he makes songs more attractive. Kind of an arranger ! So I came up him first when I form my own band !!
To be honest , I’m a little weak . Basically negative thinking . Therefore when I ask them to play with me in my band , I was so afraid ….
But they said “ It would be my pleasure to play in your band “ . ; (!! How sweet they are !!
I can’t wait to perform with them !

the vocalist Emma Marie : When I got her live performance video before the recording, I was so shocked like “who is the dope blues girl !! “. I’m pretty sure she’ll be a blues legend lady in near future.
the Lead Guitar Andrei Cerbu: I collaborated with him on Sine’s video before , and the style was hard rock. That’s also pretty cool but I do love his blues guitar ♪♪ Surely his guitar is screaming like a voice !!
the drummer Sina : Sina can handle everything much more than me. When I first heard her drums, I was watching the video too. So I was thinking “wow amazing girl !! How has she got the great chops at a young age …!? ” but when I started recording for her and listened her sounds without video, I fell in love with her more and more . Even though I don’t see her appearance , my hart got full of the groove by the drums ..!!! Sex / cute looking / age don’t even matter for her , she is exactly the groove maker .
About my bass sounds, I chose the Fender jazz bass as usual .
but the sound is so fat !! Isn’t it ?
The reason is I used pre-amp this time.
MBT-custom . I just started to use this very recently but it’s already my most favorite one. Anyway if you didn’t check the video out yet, please check my bass sound ,too ; ) !

I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita, but I don’t wanna be only bass guitar player.
This is because all my bass hero plays not only as backup-musician, but also solo artist !!
They show different performances with their solo work .
In the case of Tal Wilkenfeld , I think she played the guitar more than bass guitar on Japanese tour…
Then I could see she wants to play not only bass guitar . She wants to play MUSIC.
Some people often ask me what I wanna be , like recording musician, tour musician, band , bass teacher , and so on..
Actually then I’m not sure how I should answer because there are toooooooo many things that I wanna do.
I wanna be a recording musician, I wanna perform with my favorite artist as backup-musician, I wanna be more freedom when I jam with musicians, And also I wanna create many works .
（some people disagree with my opinion, but it doesn’t matter because it’s my life.）
Anyway !
This is the band! I used to have solo performance with minus one tracks but Juna Serita Band must be totally different with it ! Both my original songs and cover songs.
（I already decided the set list 80% ♪♪）
I’m preparing a song that everione can sing together,too!

I was thinking I wanna play and create something with her when I listened to her songs for the first time.

Finally I updated live schedules on my official website!!
I want to change some design in particular head picture . In fact score of people has told me to change it . Still ,unfortunately I don’t have the one which matches the size .
I’ve been thinking about it for a long time but I’m not sure yet when I can get it.
Anyway, 2017 is finishing . I have only one more gig as SHOKA OKUBO BLUES PROJECT on December 31.
The event called New Year Rock Festival is presented by Yuya Uchida. We performed there last year,too.
I really appreciate for inviting us again.
It will be on the TV I think as last time. So if you have some plans on the day already, you can check our performance later through TV program.

My musician friend Natsumi will have a drums battle with her master , and I perform with them and popular female guitar player Yashiro : )!!

I have had performance with either Natsumi or Yashiro before, but it’ll be my first time to perform with Kozo Suganuma in other words “King of number of moves in hit”. (I’m sorry to say but I have no confidence of my translation .lol)
I can’t expect how the gig it will be. It’ll takes place after I come back to Japan from Los Angeles.

First, I have a jam session called “curry club” tomorrow at JAM SESSION in Okachimachi,Tokyo.

Usually , there are many singers there. So if you can’t play the instrument, it’s no problem. Please join us as a vocalist! We can play Japanese pop songs,too!
Second, jam session at w.jaz in Nishiogikubo on the 7th September.

We don’t play some SONGS there, just jamming with a few cords. Simple and groovy . So if you don’t know many songs and don’t have a lot of skills, it’s no problem!! We can jam with just 1 cord ,2 or 3. It’s always fun.
Third, jam session at SOMETHIN’ JAZZ CLUB B2 in Ikebukuro on the 9th September.
