Lab. session @ Ikebukuro Somethin’ jazz club B2

 

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today piano trio band called Lab. was hosting jam session at Ikebukuro SOMETHIN’ JAZZ CLUB B2.

There were many drummers more than other instruments .  In the case of bass guitar , nobody came in !lol  So sad!!lol

But it’s totally no prob, I really enjoyed to jam with many drummers ; ) !

We played our original song as host performance too. Actually we were working on recording these months.  Hopefully it’ll be released soon .

Today I was hosting jam session called “yuru jam ” at Akasaka Jaka’z  .

At the jam session , we always play  variety of songs . Old school, anime songs , J-pop, etc….

There were bass players , so I let them play the bass and I sang : D ♪

There are many vocalists too; )  I really enjoyed to do backup vocal too ♪

TOKYO BRASS STYLE @Sayama-Shi

 

 

 

Hey guys !! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita !! 

Today TOKYO BRASS STYLE had a concert which is for the students of Sayama technical  high school !

Most students are male and there are only few female .

Actually I also graduated from a technical high school and my major was electric/information .

So I exactly understand the s gender ratio  . That’s the way it is ;  )

Backing vocal too

 

 

 

 

Hey guys !!  I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita !! 

 

 

Today I had a performance at Giga Bar  in Minami-Aoyama,Tokyo.

I think I’m getting used to here .

Then I was wondering how many songs of Giga Bar’s repertory I’ve learned already .

 

It is 160 songs .

 

160 sounds like I’ve done a lot !!!

 

However .. I still have over 50 more songs I need to learn . 😂😂😂

I got a little shocked but it’s okey , I can enjoy that . : D

At first I really counted on the other musicians to sing as backup vocal.

But these days I’m always trying to do that too.  It’s difficult but I do love to sing .

Rie a.k.a. Suzaku @ Silver Elephant

 

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

Today I had a performance with a guitar player Rie a.k.a. Suzaku at Silver Elephant Kichijoji. This is the progressive rock event.

Many people came to see the show . To be honest , I didn’t expect there are so many progressive rock fans in Japan. The live music club was packed from the beginning till the end.

We played some fusion songs besides progressive rock song.

I think my slap got a little better. I’ve been slapping with 5 strings a lot these days.

I already have some schedules to play with Rie again !!

Frankly speaking , I couldn’t afford to enjoy the performance before because her songs are so difficult !but about today, I can say I was enjoying that !

It’s getting so fun to play with Rie each time .

I can’t wait to the next : )

Today I was hosting jam session with the drummer  Masayo “Zen “Nakahata at W.jaz in Nishiogikubo, tokyo.

 

Recently I practice with 5 strings a lot.  So I’m getting to be used to it I think .

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today I had a recording for the piano trio band Lab.

In the band, I recently use 5 strings bass guitar ; ) !!

I’m not be used to it but when I play 5 strings , actually I can be more relaxed than 4 strings .

When Kodai  played  the synthesizer, we all played at the same room together but when he played   the piano , we were separated .

However most our songs are not exactly fixed the size of each sections . Like introduction , solo , etc..

So while recording , we did video chat through my laptop for letting each other know the “Cue “.

That was interesting  .

I can’t wait to hear the end result !!

 

 

 

And we’re gonna host jam session on October 16th at Ikebukuro Somethin’ Jazz Club B2.

We’ll play some our original songs as host performance too ; )
