Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today I had a gig which is Jeff Beck tribute live.

Vocal : Kenny

 

It’s already 4th time to perform together , the vocalist Kenny is new face tho.

We played both Jeff Beck’s song and Jeff Beck Group ‘s songs.

One of his most popular songs called ‘Cause We’ve Ended As Lovers , we play it everytime.

I think Jeff Beck ‘s fans definitely know the video on youtube which has bass solo played by Tal Wilkenfeld .

So I also play bass solo on the song everytime  . Actually  I’m a huge fun of her. I went see her performance twice a day while she had concerts in Japan. I wanna take solo like her but she is just awesome !!! My play is still far from her.

Anyway thanks for coming everyone !!!

My next gig is on July 1st which is my band’s debut live ; )

The seats are almost booked  but still available maybe one or two.

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today I had a meeting in the afternoon in Roppongi .

Talked about some plans and jammed a little .

I ate soki soba there, which is nice !! I’ve been to Okinawa only once for school trip . And I really liked Okinawa soul foods !! However usually I don’t have opportunities to have Okinawa foods . I’m so pleased that I could have it for the first time in a while ; )!! yum yum

 

After that I had a performance at Giga bar Tokyo in Minami-Aoyama.

Finally my repertories got over 100!!! YEY!!!! . (now I can play 112 songs on their song list.)

Which means , I need to learn left 140 songs tho …lol

It’s kinda hard but such a good chance to learn old school.

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today I had a rehearsal for my band which has debut show on July 1st !!

 

That was such a funny rehearsal !!! I couldn’t believe that was the first time that we played together .

I was too excited , that made me have good motivations .  Kenny said to me I should have a boyfriend because I have too much energy .lol

I can’t wait to perform with these badass players !!

We had a coup of beer after the rehearsal.

Session host @ Shimokitazawa RPM

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m  a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today I was hosting at RPM in Shimokitazawa !!

Recently the drummer Simon Mac Dowell often invite me to host jam sessions together, appreciate ♪♪

Many musicians came to jam there such as guitar , bass, drums, MC, vocal , keyboard , sac, tuba,etc…

That was kinda lively conversations . Time fried , I felt 3hours wasn’t good enough for all of us. lol

Anyway , I and Simon will be hosting next month too!! The other members are changing ..? I don’t know yet.

yolis birthday live@ Hyphen Jiyugaoka

 

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today I had a gig with my most favorite singer yolis !!!!

member :

vocal : yolis

keyboard : Gakushi

bass:  Juna Serita

This is yolis ‘s birthday live!! I don’t know her age yet in spite of the fact that she is my best friend , but probably 20 years old or something , maybe next year too !! ; )

Many people came there !! A person talked to me this gig was much better than the last gig , shouldn’t be compared .  yey yey ; ) I really enjoyed the last gig too but this time I was like over the moon !

We performed around 14 songs including encore song. we really haven’t expected the audience ask us to play one more song , so we just jammed and yolis raped . That was such a special moment in my life.

The keyboard player Gakushi is the  best keyboard player I’ve ever seen in Japan !!  I’m so glad that finally I could play with him . from rehearsals he always leaded me to better performance.  Then I realized how bandmaster should be , how great he is.

Anyway , HAPPY BIRTHDAY my sis yolis!!!!!   I’m always proud of you .

The owner  gave us a glass of wine ; )   Thanks ; )

Rie a.k.a. Suzaku @ Silver elephant Kichijoji

 

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita !!

 

Today I had a show  with this member at Kichijoji Silver Elephant !

Rie was saying “the people who don’t come tonight will lose important moments in their life “(in Japanese, so I’m not sure my translating is correct or not tho)

I agree with her because this member is just amazing !!! I got goosebumps with just the rehearsal !! lol

There are lots solo parts for each members .

It’s quite rare that I play a lot bass solo…maybe only when I play with Rie .

I need be more technical anyway !

That was a fantastic night .  I really respect this member.

Hopefully we will play together again soon !!

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita !!

 

Today I had a rehearsal for a singer song writer called yolis with this member !!

Vocal :yolis

Keyboard : Gakushi

Drums : Toshiyuki Takao

 

We will performa on June 23rd at hyphen Jiyugaoka. 　It’ll be my second time to perform with the badass singer yolis!!!  She is my most favorite Japanese singer and also my best friend ; ) You can find her songs on apple music !! My most favorite songs are Getto Queen / Alice in a miller / I love you girl . : )!! My TOP 3!!

 

And … I’m huge fan of the keyboard player Gakushi actually !! His playing is awesome, I couldn’t stop grinning while we’re playing songs because of his dope groove !!!!!!!

 

The drummer Toshiyuki Takao, I really enjoyed to play with his drums  and pads !! He is lefty and his setting is kinda special according to Gakushi. Today’s rehearsal studio was kinda tiny. So he couldn’t set his drum as usual but he was still so great !

We will have one more rehearsal before the gig. I’m looking forward to playing with them again !!!

 

BTW I ran into a bass guitar player OKAPY  on the way to the rehearsal !!

I do love her playing and her personality of course this pretty face too ♪

Our characters are opposite I guess . She is always bright like a sun and positive thinking.  She has many good points that I don’t have . So I love and respect her ; )!! What a coincidence ♪

She made my feeling good all day ; )!!!thanks.

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!!

 

Today I had a recording from early morning ! 10:30 AM, which means I left home at 8 :30 AM. How healthy life ,isn’t it !? lol

 This time I played with the  badass drummer called Daichi san who always plays with the most popular artists in Japan like Ayumi Hamasaki /EXILE / Yuna Ito / Lisa / and so on.

 

I’m so happy that I could play with him , appreciate for this opportunity !  

That was maybe within two hours or something  but I learned a lot from his drumming , such as how to groove in the song / attitude /  etc..

 

I really enjoyed it!  I’m really looking forward to listening to the end result !! 

Recently I’m getting some recordings , So  I was thinking  I should make “works ” page on my website .

It’ll be when I have time tho… : )

Toni & The Dreams

 

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today I had a gig as a backup member for  Toni Czaikowsky ! The group named Toni & The Dreams!

Very recently I was involved to the project .  The guitar player called Luke Curden invited me to perform together ! Thanks man !

This is Toni’s new albums release party !  His song writing sense is very interesting . ; ) !

We played about 10 songs .  I just  got to know most member at the rehearsal day for the gig . However the time I spent with them was so comfy .

Probably it affected my performance because I didn’t feel nervous for the first time in a while .  That’s kinda rare . My heart is too weak actually !! lol

That was such a fun time . Appreciate .

Toni is planning to perform in the end of year with the same member again ; )

Chiba is a little far from Tokyo, but if you live around there , come to see our performance next time please ; ) !

Hey guys !! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

This morning I was jamming at a studio in Shinjuku with this funny guy called Mark .

It was our first time to jam but that was perfect !lol

We’ll do it again !! That was such a funny time .lol

 

And after that I went to see this show !!

I know PENGUIN well !! I used to play with them as another act .

And the bass player introduced the guitar player called Jun Sumida who plays in September 6 .

I really enjoyed both two bands !!

Probably I’ll play wth Jun Sumida in near future . I saw his playing first time but that was amazing !!

Penguin is so entertainers as usual !!!

 

 

After the show I went to see my friend’s performance  to Hilton Hotel in Shinjuku .

That was …. very nice atmosphere , I was a little worried my fashion is  decent or not …lol

I was gonna only listen to their playing , but the drummer Alex let me sit in !  We jammed  Chameleon .
