Hey guys!!  I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

SHOKA OKUBO BLUES PROJECT had a gig at Garden Shimokitazawa in Tokyo!

It’s farewell tour for the drummer Makotomo Sonohara because he will move to the US .

I’m glad that many people came there.

We have played  for almost 5 years  together .

It is  the last chance so far to play with Makotomo on the stage, so I really enjoyed .

And we had some guest musicians !

Rehearsal for 30th

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!!

 

 

Today SHOKA OKUBO BLUES PROJECT had a rehearsal with backing vocalist Ayunje and another drummer Emi Yonekubo( from SHOKA OKUBO FUNKY PROJECT ).

 

We had been in the studio for 6 hours but time flied .

The gig should be the last chance for you guys to see Makotomo Sonohara’s drum performance because he’s gonna move to the US .
I’m pretty sure you guys will regret if won’t come up.

The gig must be fantastic, I’m really looking forward to it.

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

I uploaded new video on my youtube channel.

That is a digest video that I played in California  . (Anaheim & Los Angels)

Unfortunately , I don’t have all  of  my performance video. So not good enough at all though .

By the way  , recently  I actually talking with a person to do something together ; )  Maybe some people can guess who the person is if they check my SNS often. : )

I was thinking I wanna play and create something with her when I listened to her songs  for the first time.

She is kickass .    I hope I will show my fans the collaboration ASAP ♪

Lab.@Higashi-Shinjuku Circle

 

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today the piano trio band called Lab. had a gig at Higashi-Shinjuku Circle in Tokyo!

 

We play instrumental music.  I think people call our music  jazz-fusion.

I really appreciate that many people come to see our performance in spite of the fact that we don’t have any promotion video.

We performed about 2 hours.

Our music is kinda session, so it changes every time.

Which means you can enjoy every time even if we’ll play the same songs!

Anyway the most songs are irregular metro, like 9/8 , 5/4 . 7/8, and so on … For me, it is  still so difficult .

The drummer Adam MG and the keyboard player Kodai Taniguchi are very good at rhythm .  According to them, they feel 4/4 is difficult…lol

 

Out next gig is May 20th.   And April 24th, we’ll have a jam session as host members at Ikebukuro SOMETHIN’ jazz club B2.

Let’s jam with us ; )!

 

By the way

I thought I really want 6 strings bass guitar….

 

Do you think I can handle that?

Session host @ Nishiogikubo w.jaz

 

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

I had a jam session as a host member at Nishiogikubo w.jaz in Tokyo today.

The member is

drummer : Masayo Nakahata

Keyboard : Yuri Edo

Bass : Juna Serita

Usually only instrumental players come to jam here , but today we had some vocalist ; )!! That was nice meeting.

Bass guitar player was only three including me. So I played a lot.

To be honest, I wanted more many bass players to come to jam thought ; )

 

Thanks for the fan session everyone !!

We have a jam session as host member at Nishiogikubo w.jaz once a month but sometimes we perform with singers as backup musicians.

Jeff Beck night vol 4@Akasaka CRAWFISH

 

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today I had a gig as Jeff Beck tribute band at Akasaka CRAWFISH in Tokyo with the great musicians!

Actually Jeff Beck tribute live is our 4th time. Maybe we already have many Jeff Beck song’s  repertoires .

The last gig, we performed only instrumental music. However  this time,  I sang only one song called Rollin’ and Tumblin.

I always get nervous when I sing in front of audience… ; ( ! lol

But I’m grad that some people told me they liked my singing.

yolis@Ginza Lounge Zero

 

 

Hey guys!! I’m a bass guitar player Juna Serita!!

 

Today I had a gig with singer yolis at Ginza Lounge ZERO in Tokyo.

It’s my first time to come here but feels like nice atmosphere !

They have table and seats . So seems like a dinner-show.

The singer yolis was saying she is not in a good condition . However when she is on a stage, I didn’t feel so at all.

She is awesome.  Without question, yolis is the best vocalist that I’ve ever played with.

So I want more many people to know her.

I’m pretty sure we’ll perform together soon.

And actually we’re planning to shoot a video together.♪

Hey guys!! I’ m a bass guitar player Juna Serita !!

 

Today SHOKA OKUBO BLUES PROJECT had a gig without any acts in Osaka SO.Ra.

Today’s my running nose was not so bad compared with yesterday .♪

So I didn’t need to blow my nose so frequently when I’m on the stage.♪

And we had a two guests. An blues harp player Masato Takase and guitar player Takeshi Hayama!!

That was a fantastic session !!  Thanks everyone.

We ‘ll have only one more gig with the badass drummer Makotomo Sonohara.

I’m really gone miss him because he is like my elder brother. I’ve learned many things from his play.

Appreciate…. ; (

 

Anyway don’t forget our last gig on March 30th at Shimokitazawa Garden !!

It’ll be the last chance for you guys  to see SHOKA OKUBO BLUES PROJECT original member ‘s performance.

Today SHOKA OKUBO BLUES PROJECT had a gig without any acts at JIVE Hiroshima.

Thanks for coming Hiroshima’s fan!!

And  some people who came yesterday and day before yesterday also came there, super thanks!

I sang only one song as a bass & vocalist today, too!

We had a guest guitar vocalist called King Masumoto!!!

He sat in and performed  several songs together.

He plays the blues harp ,too actually.

 

I really like his guitar phrase because I can feel his blues soul !!

I’m so happy that I could come here for the first time in  a while.   That was a great time!
