curry potato and chicken / rice / spinach / tofu / fresh vegetables / kimchi / soup /
When I was in my previous course , the topic always interested me. Unfortunately , studies for IELTS would be of benefit to me but the topic in particular reading is complicated and insipid . : (
However , In my reading textbook , there was an interesting story today.
“All our life, so far as it has definite form, is but a mass of habit “, Willian James wrote in 1892.Most of the choices we make each day may feel like the products of well considered decision making , but they’re not. They’re habits. And though each habit means relatively little on its own over time, the meals we order, what we say to our kids each night, whether we save or spend , how enormous impacts on our health, productivity ,financial security, and happiness . one paper published by a Duke University researcher in 2006 found that 40percent or more of the actions people performed each day weren’t actual decisions , but habits.
Nowadays ,I’ve been trying to not buy snacks by myself for either saving money or losing weight.
I think people around me don’t know how big problem my desire for food is. When I have good routine , restricting sweets or all of carbohydrates are a piece of cake. Still, when I have bad routine , I can’t bear my appetite . Then the angel in my heart will be imprisoned in darkness by the devil in my heart.
I suppose that it also fits this reading. If we are keen to change something , perhaps it would be difficult to keep on working toward our goal. Although , when it would be our habit , we can do it without much stress.
Certainly, I agree with the reading. It’s also one of the reasons that getting someone change is mostly impossible . About works , studies, behavior , personality , we can say about everything.
Which means, I feel it takes more time to be stable appetite ….. : |
